It pains me to say this but in December 2020 we lost one of our own. Claudine had been with JBC for some years and from the very beginning, she was 100% committed and dedicated to the team. I want you to know a bit about her, everything she did for the Justin Bieber community, and how much she is adored.
We started a Twitter DM group a few years ago with people willing to send Justin Bieber news and updates for us to post. Claudine was one of the women who volunteered and the only one we saw real potential in. Skip maybe a couple/few months; we asked her if she wanted to be on the team officially! As my good friend and ex-JBC member, Ellie, stated: “I remember her being so excited when we got her involved” and I couldn’t agree more.
Claudine was faced with tough medical challenges over the years and JBC really gave her something to focus on and a chance to do something she enjoyed so much. She really supported JBC and Justin himself, endlessly, no matter what. There were days where she would be on painkillers or in hospital and she would still be updating; I’d have to tell her time and time again, “Claudine, please take a break and get some rest” because she was just so passionate. JBC was her baby just as much as it is mine.
One thing Claudine always loved to do was update concerts and shows; we would always take a step back and let her do her thing just because she enjoyed it so much. If you ever saw JBC live-tweeting Justin’s Purpose Tour shows, that was most likely Claudine! And she rocked it every. single. time. Updating his next tour(s) will be so difficult for us as Claudine played such an important role in this and it’s something that will always remind us of her, no matter what.
In the few years that I’ve known Claudine, she gave us so many hilarious laugh-out-loud moments, many including her cats. Whether they were tweeting on JBC for her or sitting on her face, there was always a funny story.
When I say JBC was Claudine’s baby just as much as it was mine, I mean it. She helped to get JBC back a couple of times after suspension with her excellent writing skills, helping to draft and execute multiple letters so we could file for retractions on Twitter and Instagram.
She had been on my mind for some time and I direct-messaged her Instagram on December 16th after being unable to reach her via phone, Facebook, or Twitter. Sadly, little did I know that she had already passed at this time. I started to get super worried, messaging my friend at the start of this month asking if she knew any other means of contacting her. Then yesterday came (February 18, 2021), I tried emailing her but I got a reply from the messaging service saying the email didn’t exist. I then took to the JBC group chat on iMessage with my concern; I was sent her newest number (as she didn’t have iMessage anymore) so I messaged and it failed. I started to get panicky. Then I received the news I was dreading…a message saying, “Guys…” with the screenshot from her sister’s Facebook page. I immediately bawled my eyes out and ran to my mam’s room to hug her…she also knew about Claudine too and that brought her to tears.
The post about her passing by her sister was posted only a few days before I messaged her on Instagram. I feel guilty that I didn’t message her sooner…if only I was a few weeks earlier. I just wish she knew that I was thinking about her and she had been on my mind for some time. I want her to know that I care and miss her so much. I wish I got to say my final goodbyes and thank her for everything because I am so beyond grateful and it is not going to be the same without her. I’m sorry for finding out so late, I don’t think I can ever forgive myself for that.
I could go on for pages and pages about how awesome Claudine is and how much of a star she has been in the Justin Bieber community. Somebody who will not be forgotten and will instead be remembered forever by all of us.
Final words/message for Claudine:
You have brought so much light to my life and I will never forget you. You were the bright star that held JBC together and now you’re the brightest star in the sky. I love you so much and thank you for everything. Updating JB’s concerts and tours will never be the same without you. I will miss hearing your whacky stories about your cats, I will miss your dedication and love for JBC/Justin and most importantly, I will miss you. This world has lost such an amazing woman and heaven has gained an angel.
Thank you Claudine, for everything, from the me, the JBC team, and the whole Justin Bieber community. Fly high.
Iām so sorry for your loss. We will all miss this angel. RIP ā¤ļø
